The Project
This Richmond Hill basement was renovated to create a comfortable and functional living space for the family. Before construction began, we worked through the basement permit process and coordinated with the City of Richmond Hill to make sure the project met the required building codes.
Once the permit was in place, we started with the wall framing and layout, including ceiling bulkheads to neatly conceal the HVAC system and wiring.
We also installed vinyl plank flooring with acoustic underpadding and added Owens Corning QuietZone acoustic insulation in the ceiling to help reduce noise between the basement and the floor above.

The Result
A Comfortable Basement That Works for the Family
The finished basement is a practical space for relaxing, working, and spending time with family and friends. The acoustic insulation helps create a quieter environment, while the flooring and finished ceiling give the space a clean, comfortable feel.
From the permit process through to the finishing work, the basement was planned around how the family wanted to use the space.
